My new EcoForms pot

I've been wanting to try biodegradable EcoForms pots and finally picked one up at Emigh Hardware the other day. I really like the way they look and feel and even though they're biodegradable, they're said to last for several years.

  1. I'm really interested to hear how you like these pots over time. I've been working in the greenhouses at Merritt College this summer and they've been finding that the EcoForms pots break really easily--even more so than most plastic pots. If they don't get moved around a lot, I imagine they would hold up better. I hope you'll do a follow-up report to let us know how they're working out and if they're worthwhile.

  2. I will definitely report back, Claire. My pots tend to sit in one place for several months before they get moved or reused.

Thanks for sharing your experience with EcoForms. They may not turn out to be workhorses we want them to be, but I think they're already a great replacement for gallon plastic nursery pots that most people immediately throw away. Kudos to any wholesale nursery that starts using them.
