Fun with Cordyline

It seems like cordyline cultivars are becoming more prevalent. I know I haven't grown it much in the past, but find myself reaching for it more and more when I'm out nursery shopping, probably because it comes in such fun colors. I'm not sure how cold-hardy it is, but will have a chance to find out soon, I'm sure.

    'Pink Sensation'? 'Electric Pink'?
I'm lovin' these plants, too. What kind of exposure/water are yours in?

  2. I seem to remember a 'Pink Sunset' as well. The tag's around here somewhere...

Exposure is full sun. Water right now is mostly rainfall, with occasional hits with the hose.

  3. Hi there,
I planted Coryline this summer in some of my containers. I dug it out in the fall and replanted with pansies thinking it would look pretty until winter. We have had some fairly cold weather (for Portland, OR) already and the Cordyline looks great!

I am hoping it will make it until spring...we shall see...

  4. Frost has arrived and while my coleus and other "tenders" are withering, the cordylines are still going strong. Will try to report back toward the end of January.
